Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Maanik ("we", "us") collects when you visit localhost:3000 or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Order & account information: name, mobile number, email address, delivery address and order history. Your mobile number/email is verified by a one-time password; we do not store passwords.
- Payment information: payments are processed by our payment gateway partner. We receive only the transaction status and reference (e.g. UTR) — never your card, bank or UPI PIN details.
- Device & usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site (for example a campaign link). This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Reviews & photos: if you submit a review, the name, text and photos you provide may be displayed publicly on the product page after moderation. Your email is used only to contact you about the review.
2. How we use it
- to process, ship and support your orders, and to send order updates by SMS/email;
- to prevent fraud and verify payments;
- to improve the site, our products and customer service;
- with your consent, to send offers and updates (you can opt out any time via the link in the email or by writing to support@maanik.com);
- to measure and improve our advertising, including showing you relevant ads on platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google.
3. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and tags from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising. Session recordings, where enabled, automatically mask form fields and personal data. You can block cookies in your browser settings; parts of checkout may not work without essential cookies.
4. Sharing
We share information only with partners who help us run the store — courier companies (name, address, phone for delivery), our payment gateway, email/SMS providers, hosting and analytics providers — and only what they need. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Data retention
Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal requirements. You may ask us to delete your account and personal data by emailing support@maanik.com; we will do so unless we must keep it under law.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal information, and withdraw marketing consent, by writing to support@maanik.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, payments are handled by a PCI-compliant gateway, and access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always at localhost:3000/pages/privacy-policy.
